Oconto County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full time Mechanic. Pay rate starts at $26.92/hour plus excellent fringe benefits. Requirements include: a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of a diesel mechanic certificate and/or degree or 3 years of work experience in diesel equipment or truck repair. Applicants with experience in parts inventory and good organizational skills are preferred but not required.

Finalists will be required to undergo a detailed background check, physical exam, and mechanics test. Successful candidate must possess a current valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with A, B, D and N endorsements or have the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
