HIGHWAY OPERATOR 1
Oconto County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full time Operator 1 position as well as create an eligibility list. Pay rate is $21.41/hour ($22.27/hour after 1st of the year) plus excellent fringe benefits. Responsible for performing manual labor work of a routine nature in a wide variety of highway maintenance areas as directed. Will operate large trucks, loaders, excavators, dozers, fork lifts, and various other maintenance related pieces of equipment. Will also help in the completion of highway maintenance duties. Works in other Highway Department positions as needed and requested, such as snow plowing and salting roads within Oconto County.
Finalists may be required to undergo a detailed background check, physical exam, and successfully completing a road test. Successful candidate must possess a current valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with A, B, D and N endorsements, or the ability to obtain a CDL with required endorsements within sixty (60) days of hire date.
